Jean Abernethy is the daughter of Alexander Abernethy, 6th Lord Saltoun of Abernethy and Lady Alison Keith.2 She married, firstly, Alexander Seton of Meldrum, younger, son of William Seton of Meldrum and Janet Gordon, in 1579.2 She married, secondly, John Urquhart of Craigfintray, son of Alexander Urquhart of Cromarty and Beatrice Innes, in 1595 at Saltoun, East Lothian, Scotland.1 She died before 1610.

John Urquhart of Craigfintray was born in 1547.2 He is the son of Alexander Urquhart of Cromarty and Beatrice Innes.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Gordon, daughter of John Gordon of Cairnburrow, circa 1580.2 He married, secondly, Hon. Jean Abernethy, daughter of Alexander Abernethy, 6th Lord Saltoun of Abernethy and Lady Alison Keith, in 1595 at Saltoun, East Lothian, Scotland.1 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Seton, daughter of Alexander Seton of Meldrum, younger, in 1610. He died on 8 November 1631.2
He was Tutor of Cromarty.2 He inherited Castle Craig from brother Thomas.2 Between 1604 and 1607 he built Craigston Castle, Aberdeenshire.2
