Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. was born on 20 September 1803.1 He was the son of Daniel Salt and Grace Smithies.2 He married Caroline Whitlam, daughter of George Whitlam, on 21 August 1830.1 He died on 29 December 1876 at age 73.2
He lived at Crow Nest, Yorkshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Bradford between 1848 and 1850.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Yorkshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Yorkshire.1 He was created 1st Baronet Salt, of Saltaire, co. York [U.K.] on 30 October 1869.1 He was a pioneer of model towns for working people.1

Sir William Henry Salt, 2nd Bt. was born on 5 December 1831.1 He is the son of Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. and Caroline Whitlam.2 He married Emma Dove Octaviana Harris, daughter of John Dove Harris and Emma Shirley, on 7 December 1854.1 He died on 7 July 1892 at age 60.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Salt, of Saltaire, co. York [U.K., 1869] on 29 December 1876.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1879.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Leicestershire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Leicestershire.1

Edward Salt was born on 3 April 1837.1 He was the son of Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. and Caroline Whitlam.2 He married, firstly, Mary Jane Susan Elgood, daughter of Samuel Elgood, on 10 July 1861.1 He married, secondly, Sarah Amelia Rouse, daughter of William Rouse, on 1 November 1871.1 He died on 24 October 1903 at age 66, without issue.1
