     Sir John Rivett-Carnac, 2nd Bt. was born on 10 August 1818.¹ He was the son of Sir James Rivett-Carnac, 1st Bt. and Anna Maria Richardes.² He married Anne Jane Sproule, daughter of Samuel Sproule, on 19 December 1840.¹ He died on 4 August 1883 at age 64.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 73rd Regiment.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Rivett-Carnac, of Derby and Warborne, Hampshire [U.K., 1836] on 28 January 1846.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lymington between 1852 and 1860.¹

     Anne Jane Sproule was the daughter of Samuel Sproule.¹ She married Sir John Rivett-Carnac, 2nd Bt., son of Sir James Rivett-Carnac, 1st Bt. and Anna Maria Richardes, on 19 December 1840.¹ She died on 2 September 1876.¹
     From 19 December 1840, her married name became Rivett-Carnac.

     Sir James Henry Sproule Rivett-Carnac, 3rd Bt. was born on 27 June 1846.¹ He was the son of Sir John Rivett-Carnac, 2nd Bt. and Anne Jane Sproule.² He married Mary Jeannie Henderson, daughter of Ambrose Henderson, on 20 August 1872.¹ He died on 4 June 1909 at age 62.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 73rd Regiment.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Rivett-Carnac, of Derby and Warborne, Hampshire [U.K., 1836] on 4 August 1883.¹

     Ambrose Henderson lived at Bodmin, Cornwall, England.¹

     Mary Jeannie Henderson was the daughter of Ambrose Henderson.² She married Sir James Henry Sproule Rivett-Carnac, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Rivett-Carnac, 2nd Bt. and Anne Jane Sproule, on 20 August 1872.¹ She died on 5 April 1927.¹
     From 20 August 1872, her married name became Rivett-Carnac.
