Sir Walter Riddell of that Ilk, 5th Bt. was born in 1695.2 He was the son of Sir Walter Riddell of that Ilk, 4th Bt. and Mary Watt.2 He married Jane Turnbull, daughter of John Turnbull of Houndwood, in 1724/25.2 He died on 13 May 1765.2,3
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Riddell, of Riddell, co. Roxburgh [N.S., 1628] on 27 April 1747.1
