     James Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 19th of Rattray was the son of Patrick Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 18th of Rattray and Hon. Anne Drummond.² A contract for the marriage of James Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 19th of Rattray and Hon. Elizabeth Hay was signed on 8 December 1682.¹ He died on 2 August 1684.¹
     In 1682 he was served heir to his father and ancestor Sir John Rattray of that Ilk.¹

     Sir George Hay of Megginch was baptised on 13 February 1632.² He was the son of Peter Hay, 7th of Megginch and Mary Scrymgeour.² He married Beatrice Hay, daughter of Francis Hay and Janet Halyburton, after 29 April 1652.² He died in 1670.²

     Hon. Elizabeth Hay was baptised on 13 November 1658.² She was the daughter of Sir George Hay of Megginch and Beatrice Hay.^3,2 She married, secondly, Hon. John Galloway, son of Thomas Galloway, 2nd Lord Dunkeld.¹ She married by contract, firstly, James Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 19th of Rattray, son of Patrick Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 18th of Rattray and Hon. Anne Drummond, on 8 December 1682.¹
     Her married name became Galloway.¹ Her married name became Rattray.

     Rt. Rev. Thomas Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 20th of Rattray was born circa 1683.¹ He was the son of James Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 19th of Rattray and Hon. Elizabeth Hay.² He married Hon. Margaret Galloway, daughter of Thomas Galloway, 2nd Lord Dunkeld, on 31 July 1701.¹ He died on 12 May 1743.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He held the office of Bishop of Brechin between 1727 and 1732.¹ He held the office of Bishop of Dunkeld between 1732 and 1743.¹ He held the office of Primus of Scotland between 1739 and 1743.¹ He was a Jacobite and non-jouring Episcopalian, and theological writer.¹

     Thomas Galloway, 2nd Lord Dunkeld gained the title of 2nd Lord Dunkeld.¹

     Hon. Margaret Galloway was the daughter of Thomas Galloway, 2nd Lord Dunkeld.² She married Rt. Rev. Thomas Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 20th of Rattray, son of James Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 19th of Rattray and Hon. Elizabeth Hay, on 31 July 1701.¹ She died on 26 September 1737.¹
     From 31 July 1701, her married name became Rattray.

     James Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 21st of Rattray was born on 12 June 1703.¹ He was the son of Rt. Rev. Thomas Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 20th of Rattray and Hon. Margaret Galloway.² A contract for the marriage of James Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 21st of Rattray and Marjory Graeme was signed on 16 April 1730.¹ He died on 11 January 1770 at age 66.¹
     He subscribed £50 to Bonnie Prince Charlie's war-chest, and sheltered a fugitive Jacobite at Craighall after Culloden.¹

     Christian Main is the daughter of George Main.² She married Dr. John Rattray, son of Rt. Rev. Thomas Rattray of Craighall-Rattray, 20th of Rattray and Hon. Margaret Galloway, on 3 February 1742.¹
     From 3 February 1742, her married name became Rattray.
