     From 20 April 1912, her married name became McLeod.1

     He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Artillery.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1

     Norman Portal McLeod was born on 10 October 1916.1 He was the son of Brigadier Norman Macdonald McLeod and Irma Horace Lanphier Portal.3 He married, firstly, Priscilla Anne Lushington in June 1940.1 He married, secondly, Kathleen Margaret Blackstone on 11 December 1965.1 He died in July 1984 at age 67 at Petersfield, Hampshire, England.2
     He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1
