Thomas Pile was born on 27 July 1819.1 He was the son of James Phillips Pile and Sarah Hawkins.2 He married Anne Poole, daughter of George Poole, on 4 May 1848.1 He died on 26 April 1899 at age 79.1

Sir Thomas Devereux Pile, 1st Bt. was born on 27 February 1856.1 He was the son of Thomas Pile and Anne Poole.2 He married Caroline Maude Nicholson, daughter of John Mann Nicholson, on 3 May 1882.1 He died on 17 January 1931 at age 74.1
He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County and City of Dublin.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Dublin in 1898.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin in 1900.1 He was created 1st Baronet Pile, of Kenilworth House, Rathgar, co. Dublin [U.K.] on 24 September 1900.1

Major Walter Devereux Pile was born on 24 January 1887.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Devereux Pile, 1st Bt. and Caroline Maude Nicholson.2 He married Margaret Lucy Bonner, daughter of Thomas Irvine Bonner, on 14 September 1921.1 He died on 1 November 1959 at age 72.1
He fought in the First World War, he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Field Artillery (Special Reserve.)1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He was awarded the Order of the Crown (Belgium.)1
