     Sophia Catharine Frankland was born on 22 June 1823.1 She was the daughter of George Frankland and Anne Mason.1 She married, firstly, Gore Boland Mumbee on 28 September 1846.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Charles Payne Barras, son of William Barras, on 2 July 1862.1
     From 28 September 1846, her married name became Mumbee.1 From 2 July 1862, her married name became Barras.1
