     General Nisbet Balfour of Dunbog was born on 20 January 1743/44 at Dunbog, Fife, ScotlandG.1 He was the son of Henry Balfour of Dunbog and Katherine Porterfield.1 He died on 16 October 1823 at age 79 at Dunbog, Fife, ScotlandG.1 He was buried at Dunbog Cemetery, Dunbog, Fife, Scotland.1
