     Hon. William Hope was born on 24 June 1816.¹ He was the son of General John Hope, 4th Earl of Hopetoun and Louisa Dorothea Wedderburn.¹ He was baptised on 25 July 1816 at Abercorn, West Lothian, Scotland^G.¹ He died in 1835.¹

     Hon. Thomas Hope was born on 20 October 1819.¹ He was the son of General John Hope, 4th Earl of Hopetoun and Louisa Dorothea Wedderburn.¹ He was baptised on 11 November 1819 at Abercorn, West Lothian, Scotland^G.¹ He died on 6 November 1838 at age 19.¹

     Magdalen Sophia Murray was born on 27 August 1860 at Blythswood, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹ She was the daughter of Bentley Murray and Lucy Jane Eleanor Muir Mackenzie.¹
