Guillaume IX 'le Vieux' d'Auvergne, Comte d'Auvergne was born circa 1100.2 He was the son of Guillaume VII d'Auvergne and Emma de Hauteville.2 He married Anne de Nevers, daughter of Guillaume II de Nevers, Comte de Nevers and Adelais (?).1 He died in 1182.2
