     Colonel Herbert Ellicombe Molesworth was born on 15 December 1872.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Hickman Thomas Molesworth and Marianne Lindsay.² He married Eileen Mary Renny-Tailyour, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Waugh Renny-Tailyour and Emily Rose Wingfield-Stratford, on 24 February 1914.¹ He died on 24 December 1941 at age 69.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) Greek.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.¹

     Eileen Mary Renny-Tailyour was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Waugh Renny-Tailyour and Emily Rose Wingfield-Stratford.² She married Colonel Herbert Ellicombe Molesworth, son of Maj.-Gen. Hickman Thomas Molesworth and Marianne Lindsay, on 24 February 1914.¹ She died on 14 March 1969.¹
     From 24 February 1914, her married name became Molesworth.

     Phyllis Eileen Molesworth is the daughter of Colonel Herbert Ellicombe Molesworth and Eileen Mary Renny-Tailyour.² She married Cyril Pickard, son of F. Pickard, on 21 July 1956.¹
     From 21 July 1956, her married name became Pickard.
