James Frederick Macnabb was born on 15 May 1863.2 He was the son of James William MacNabb and Amy Hogg.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Elizabeth Waterworth, daughter of James Waterworth, on 25 April 1900.2 He married, secondly, Jean Ogilvie, daughter of John Ogilvie, on 25 September 1929.2 He died on 29 May 1937 at age 74.2
