Archibald Campbell, 2nd of Lochnell was born circa 1530 at Lochnell, Ardchattan, Argyllshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of John Campbell, 1st of Lochnell and Mary Campbell.2 He married, fourthly, Sibylla Drummond.3 He married, secondly, Janet MacLean.2 He married, thirdly, Jessie Keir Chain O'Donnell.2 He married, firstly, Janet Macdougall, daughter of Duncan 'na mein' Macdougall of Dunollie, circa 1560 at Dunollie, Argyllshire, Scotland.3,2 He died on 4 October 1594 at Glenlivet, Banffshire, Scotland, killed in action.2

Hector Maclaine, 9th of Lochbuie was born circa 1575.1 He was the son of Hector Maclean, 8th of Lochbuie and Margaret Campbell.2 He married Beathag Maclean, daughter of Sir Lachlan 'Mor' Maclean, 10th of Duart and Morvern and Lady Margaret Cuninghame.1 He died circa 1628.1
Hector Maclaine, 9th of Lochbuie also went by the nick-name of Eachainn Odhar (or in English, Sallow Hector.)1 In June 1612 he received a royal charter of all his father's lands from King James VI/I.1 In July 1615 he was served heir to his great-grandfather.1
