Walter Turing Mackenzie was born on 19 April 1856.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Henry Mackenzie and Antoinette Margaret Campbell Turing.2 He married, firstly, Sophie Howie, daughter of W A Howie, on 15 January 1880.1 He married, secondly, Mabel Grace Bankes, daughter of John Scott Bankes and Annie Jervis, on 23 September 1905.1 He died on 13 June 1919 at age 63.1
