Gregor MacGregor was the son of Duncan 'Aberach' MacGregor of Ardchoille and unknown Macfarlane.2 He died in August 1604, fatally shot in the back with an arrow by a rival MacGregor.2

Iain MacGregor in Glenlochy is the son of Patrick 'Aberach' MacGregor and Marion Macdonald of Auchnatrichatan in Glencoe.2 He married Ann MacGregor, daughter of Gregor MacGregor of Roro.1
He held the position of Chieftain of the Children of the Mist from.1 In 1679 a ‘commission of fire and sword' was issued against the Children of the Mist and their Chief.1 He fought in the Battle of Killiecrankie in 1689, for King James II.1
