     Olmar Charles John Stevenson-Hamilton was born on 15 September 1875.1 He was the son of Colonel James Stevenson of Braidwood and Eliza Hamilton.2 He married Gwladys Claire Stevenson, daughter of Colonel Robert Stevenson and Claire Aitkin, on 17 July 1906.1 He died on 12 June 1919 at age 43 at Kohat, India, on active service.1
     He was educated at Blair Lodge.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Highland Light Infantry and Indian Army.1 He fought in the Boer War.1 He fought in the Nigeria Campaign in 1904.1

     Lt.-Col. Vivian Edgar Olmar Stevenson-Hamilton was born on 20 March 1907.1 He was the son of Olmar Charles John Stevenson-Hamilton and Gwladys Claire Stevenson.2 He married, firstly, Violet Anson Bryson, daughter of Alexander Bryson, on 25 March 1948.1 He and Violet Anson Bryson were divorced in 1971.1 He married, secondly, Marie-Madeleine Filleul in 1972.1 He died on 25 October 1986 at age 79, without issue.1
     He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Punjab between 1935 and 1937.1 He fought in the Second World War, in the North-West Frontier, Burma and Italy.1 He was 2nd i/c of the 153rd Gurkha Parachute Battalion in 1942 and was severely injured.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers in 1945.1 He was commander of the 1st Battalion, 4th Prince of Wales Own Gurkha Rifle between 1945 and 1947.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 2 July 1946.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Prince of Wales Own Gurkha Rifles, Indian Army.1 He wrote the book Yes Your Excellency, published 1985.1

     Violet Anson Bryson was the daughter of Alexander Bryson.1 She married, firstly, W/Cdr. unknown Higgins before 1948.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Vivian Edgar Olmar Stevenson-Hamilton, son of Olmar Charles John Stevenson-Hamilton and Gwladys Claire Stevenson, on 25 March 1948.1 She and Lt.-Col. Vivian Edgar Olmar Stevenson-Hamilton were divorced in 1971.1 She died on 20 May 1999.1
     From before 1948, her married name became Higgins.1 From 25 March 1948, her married name became Stevenson-Hamilton.

     Cecilia Margaret Grace Stevenson was born on 4 April 1871.1 She was the daughter of Colonel James Stevenson of Braidwood and Eliza Hamilton.3 She married James Hay, son of Alexander Hay, on 5 February 1902 at St. John's Church, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.1,2 She died on 2 April 1940 at age 68.1
     From 5 February 1902, her married name became Hay.

     James Hay was the son of Alexander Hay.2 He married Cecilia Margaret Grace Stevenson, daughter of Colonel James Stevenson of Braidwood and Eliza Hamilton, on 5 February 1902 at St. John's Church, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.1,2 He died on 26 May 1908.1
     He lived at Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.1 He was a practising barrister.1
