Thomas Sydney Williams was born on 11 February 1786 at Gosport, Hampshire, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Williams and Mary Marsh.1 He married Caroline Eliza Heath on 8 April 1814.2 He died on 12 February 1869 at age 83 at Altona, Germany.1

Isabel Sandilands, daughter of John Sandilands, 4th Lord Torphichen and Isabel Dundas, on 25 April 1666.1 He married by contract, secondly, Sarah Fergusson, daughter of Robert Fergusson, 12th of Craigdarroch and Elizabeth Grierson, on 7 December 1672.1 He married, thirdly, Grisel Hamilton, daughter of Gavin Hamilton, 9th of Raploch and Janet Baillie, in 1686.1
