     Mary Veronica Becher was born on 5 August 1913 at Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England^G.^1,2 She was the daughter of Major John Pickard Becher and Gertrude Veronica Gale.^3,1 She married Richard Melville Beaumont, son of Richard Henry Beaumont and Edith Hacking, on 30 May 1960.³ She died on 15 July 1997 at age 83.³
     From 30 May 1960, her married name became Beaumont.³ She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Nottinghamshire.¹

     Thomas Beaumont was born on 18 February 1916.¹ He was the son of Richard Henry Beaumont and Edith Hacking.¹ He married Jillian Mary Weeks, daughter of George William Weeks and Elsie Louise Goshawk, on 3 December 1949.¹ He died on 2 May 1990 at age 74 at Fishbourne, Chichester, Sussex, England.^2,3
     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He fought in the Second World War, in the Royal Artillery, in Africa, India and Burma.¹ He was a solicitor.¹ He was an assistant clerk for the West Sussex County Council.¹

     Major John Pickard Becher was born on 20 July 1880 at Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England^G.^2,3 He was the son of John Henry Becher and Alice Mary Pickard-Cambridge.² He married Gertrude Veronica Gale, daughter of Henry Mark Gale and Hon. Mary Strutt, on 20 April 1911 at Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England^G.^2,3 He died on 1 January 1916 at age 35 at France^G, from wounds received in action.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July 1907 in the Sherwood Foresters, Territorial Forces.³ He gained the rank of Captain on 9 May 1910.³ He gained the rank of Major in the 8th Sherwood Foresters, Territorial Forces.³ He was appointed Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915.² He fought in the First World War.² He lived at Hill House, Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England^G.²
