     He gained the rank of Major in the 5th Regiment.¹

     Elizabeth Catherine Skynner was born in 1796 at Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ She married Major Thomas Murray-Prior on 21 December 1818 at Cookham, Berkshire, England^G.¹ She died on 18 November 1863.¹ She was buried at Southsea, Hampshire, England^G.¹
     From 21 December 1818, her married name became Murray-Prior.¹
