     Archibald Dunbar of Baldoon and Blackcraig was the son of Sir John Dunbar of Mochrum and Janet Stewart.3 He married Janet Mure, daughter of John Mure of Rowallan and Marion Cuninghame.1 He died in 1563.1
     He held the office of Provost of Glasgow.2 He lived at Baldoon, Wigtownshire, Scotland.1 On 17 February 1533 he had a charter of Baldoon.1
