     Monthermer Stanley Hume Montagu was born on 5 April 1868.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Lord Robert Montagu and Elizabeth Catherine Wade.2 He married Harriet Jessie Forbes, daughter of James Keith Forbes, on 2 October 1913.1 He died on 31 December 1954 at age 86.1
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Namaqualand Border Scouts.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He fought in the First World War, in East Africa, and was mentioned in despatches.1

     Harriet Jessie Forbes was the daughter of James Keith Forbes.2 She married John Stratfold Collet, son of Henry Stratfold Collet, in 1911.3 She married Monthermer Stanley Hume Montagu, son of Rt. Hon. Lord Robert Montagu and Elizabeth Catherine Wade, on 2 October 1913.1 She died in 1959.1
     From 1911, her married name became Collet.3 From 2 October 1913, her married name became Montagu.

     Walter Bernard St. John Montagu was born on 5 December 1915.1 He was the son of Monthermer Stanley Hume Montagu and Harriet Jessie Forbes.2 He married Doris Jean Morton, daughter of J. Albany Morton, on 29 June 1948.1 He died on 16 April 1992 at age 76 at Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1,3
     He was educated at Canford School, Wimborne, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He fought in the Second World War, and was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army), attached to the Royal Air Force as AOP.1

     She was in the Women's Royal Naval Service between 1942 and 1945.1 From 29 June 1948, her married name became Montagu.
