     Ellen Thorneycroft was the daughter of George Benjamin Thorneycroft and Eleanor Page.1,2 She married Henry Hartley Fowler, 1st Viscount Wolverhampton, son of Reverend Joseph Fowler and Eliza Laing, on 6 October 1857.1 She died on 6 January 1911.1
     She was awarded the Imperial Order of the Crown of India (C.I.)1 From 6 October 1857, her married name became Fowler.1
