     John Martin was born in 1815.¹ He was the son of William Martin and Anne Wood Richards.¹ He married Augusta Louisa Hopkins, daughter of William Hopkins, on 15 April 1852.¹ He died on 22 May 1864.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Leicestershire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Leicestershire.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1863.¹ He lived at Whatton House, Leicestershire, England^G.¹

     Augusta Louisa Hopkins is the daughter of William Hopkins.¹ She married John Martin, son of William Martin and Anne Wood Richards, on 15 April 1852.¹
     From 15 April 1852, her married name became Martin.¹

     William Hopkins was educated at St. Peter's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Edward Cochrane Palmer lived at Beckfield House, County Laois, Ireland.¹

     Constance Clare Annie Palmer was the daughter of Edward Cochrane Palmer.² She married Thomas Greer, son of Frederick Greer and Cecilia Staples, in June 1907.¹ She died on 14 December 1943.¹
     From June 1907, her married name became Greer.

     Sheila Alice MacGregor Greer was born on 13 March 1921.¹ She is the daughter of Thomas Greer and Constance Clare Annie Palmer.²
