Mary Frances Anne Lowndes was born circa 1871.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. John Henry Lowndes.2 She married Brig.-Gen. Henry Charles Westropp, son of Sir Michael Roberts Westropp and Elizabeth Anderson, on 8 November 1894.1 She died on 11 July 1972.1

Lionel Henry Mountifort Westropp was born on 20 February 1896.1 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Henry Charles Westropp and Mary Frances Anne Lowndes.2 He married Muriel Constance Lilian Jorgenson, daughter of Captain Conrad Reginald Erik Jorgenson, on 23 September 1937.1 He died on 26 January 1991 at age 94 at Ashford, Kent, England.3
He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.1 He was (an unknown value) at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War, he was wounded twice.1 He was awarded the Order of the Star of Romania in 1921.1 He raised 8th Battalion, King's Own Royal Regiment, and commanded it during the advance to Brussels and retreat to Dunkirk, and the siege of Malta.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1948 in the Devonshire Regiment.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Devon between 1956 and 1960.1 He lived in 1976 at Berry House, Chilham, Kent, England.1

Maj.-Gen. Victor John Eric Westropp was born on 24 May 1897.1 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Henry Charles Westropp and Mary Frances Anne Lowndes.2 He married, firstly, Elenita Augusta Lynch, daughter of Jasper ffoulkes Lynch, in 1923.1 He married, secondly, Elspeth Mary Duncan, daughter of Lt.-Col. Horace Adrian Duncan, on 10 November 1944.1 He died on 8 June 1974 at age 77.1
