Colonel Eustace Ball Maunsell was born on 10 October 1878.1 He was the son of Colonel Charles Albert Maunsell and Frances Anne Johnson.2 He married Mary Braithwaite Peile, daughter of Charles Peile, on 9 August 1913.1 He died on 4 July 1936 at age 57, without issue.1
He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Makran Campaign in 1900, in the capture of Nodiz Fort.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 14th Prince of Wales' Own Seinde Horse, 5th Bombay Cavalry.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He wrote the book The Scinde Horse.1
