     Evelyn Emily Wood was the daughter of John Gathorne Wood.² She married Rt. Hon. Laurence Hardy, son of Sir John Hardy, 1st Bt. and Laura Holbech, on 2 December 1886.¹ She died on 27 September 1911.¹
     From 2 December 1886, her married name became Hardy.

     Major Arthur Evelyn Hardy was born on 19 August 1893.¹ He was the son of Rt. Hon. Laurence Hardy and Evelyn Emily Wood.² He married Nancy Marion Devas, daughter of Horace George Devas and Edith Campbell, on 27 June 1918.¹ He died in 1986.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Coldstream Guards.¹

     Sir Charles Harcourt Palmer, 6th Bt. was born circa 1760.¹ He was the son of Charles Palmer and Sarah Clack.¹ He died in 1838.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Palmer, of Wingham, co. Kent [E., 1621] in 1764.

     Nancy Marion Devas was the daughter of Horace George Devas and Edith Campbell.^2,3 She married Major Arthur Evelyn Hardy, son of Rt. Hon. Laurence Hardy and Evelyn Emily Wood, on 27 June 1918.¹ She died in 1983.¹
     From 27 June 1918, her married name became Hardy.

     Julian Hardy was born on 25 March 1922.¹ He was the son of Major Arthur Evelyn Hardy and Nancy Marion Devas.² He died on 28 March 1925 at age 3.¹

     Gerald Alan Hardy was born on 4 April 1926.¹ He was the son of Major Arthur Evelyn Hardy and Nancy Marion Devas.² He married Carolyn Evanson, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Arthur Charles Tarver Evanson and Barbara Barlow, on 20 June 1953.¹ He died on 4 February 1999 at age 72.³
     He was educated at King's School, Bruton, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was awarded the Victoria Medal of Honour of the Royal Horticultural Society in 1993.³

     Maj.-Gen. Arthur Charles Tarver Evanson was born in 1895 at Dover, Kent, England.² He married Barbara Barlow between 1921 and 1925 at Alexandria, Egypt.² He died on 13 February 1957 at Chilverton Elms, Hougham, Kent, England.²
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Machine Gun Corps.² He lived at Chilverton Elms, Hougham, Kent, England^G.¹

     Carolyn Evanson was born in 1930 at Richmond, Yorkshire, England.² She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Arthur Charles Tarver Evanson and Barbara Barlow.^3,2 She married Gerald Alan Hardy, son of Major Arthur Evelyn Hardy and Nancy Marion Devas, on 20 June 1953.¹ She died on 23 September 2016.⁴
     From 20 June 1953, her married name became Hardy. She was chairman of the National Gardens Scheme.⁵

     Sarah Hardy was born on 7 June 1957.¹ She was the daughter of Gerald Alan Hardy and Carolyn Evanson.² She married William John Hurley in 1972.¹ She died on 30 December 2006 at age 49.³
     From 1972, her married name became Hurley. She lived in 2003 at Pedlinge Farm, Hythe, Kent, England^G.¹
