     Sir John Wyndham Edward Hanmer, 8th Bt. was born on 27 September 1928.1 He was the son of Sir Griffin Wyndham Edward Hanmer, 7th Bt. and Aileen Mary Rogerson.2 He married Audrey Melissa Congreve, daughter of Major Arthur Christopher John Congreve, on 17 July 1954.1 He died on 29 December 2008 at age 80.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Dragoons.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Flintshire in 1971.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Clwyd in 1977.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Hanmer, of Hanmer, co. Flint [G.B., 1774] on 1 January 1977.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Clwyd in 1978.1 He lived in 2003 at The Mere House, Hanmer, Whitchurch, Shropshire, EnglandG.1

     Sir Wyndham Richard Guy Hanmer, 9th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Guy.2 He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Blues and Royals.1 He lived in 2003 at The Stables, Bettisfield Park, Whitchurch, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Hanmer, of Hanmer, co.
