     He was a practising solicitor in 1907.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Canadian Infantry.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hambling, of Yoxford, Suffolk [U.K., 1924] on 19 January 1932.¹

     From 29 April 1911, her married name became Hambling. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Suffolk in 1937.¹
