     Anne Janette Connell is the daughter of James Connell.² She married Reverend Spencer Greswolde Gunning, son of Sir George William Gunning, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Elizabeth Bridgeman, on 20 March 1839.¹
     From 20 March 1839, her married name became Gunning.

     Major John Gunning was born on 21 December 1801.¹ He was the son of Sir George William Gunning, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Elizabeth Bridgeman.² He married Jessie Miller Babington, daughter of Reverend Charles Maitland Babington and Lilias Staig, on 8 September 1827.¹ He died on 13 October 1845 at age 43.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹

     Reverend Charles Maitland Babington was born on 3 May 1775 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.³ He was the son of Reverend William Babington and Janet Maitland.² He married Lilias Staig, daughter of David Staig and Lilias Stewart.⁴ He died on 5 August 1841 at age 66 at Dumfries, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.³

     Jessie Miller Babington was born in 1804.² She was the daughter of Reverend Charles Maitland Babington and Lilias Staig.^3,4 She married Major John Gunning, son of Sir George William Gunning, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Elizabeth Bridgeman, on 8 September 1827.¹ She died in 1881.¹
     From 8 September 1827, her married name became Gunning.

     Major Charles George Gunning was born on 27 February 1834.¹ He was the son of Major John Gunning and Jessie Miller Babington.² He married Emma Cameron Logan, daughter of Lt.-Gen. A. S. Logan, on 12 January 1859.¹ He died on 13 June 1878 at age 44 at Elham, Kent, England^G.^1,3
     He gained the rank of Major in the Madras Staff Corps.¹

     Emma Cameron Logan was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. A. S. Logan.² She married Major Charles George Gunning, son of Major John Gunning and Jessie Miller Babington, on 12 January 1859.¹ She died on 31 January 1933.¹
     From 12 January 1859, her married name became Gunning.

     Charles Archibald John Gunning was born on 15 October 1859.² He was the son of Major Charles George Gunning and Emma Cameron Logan.² He married Beatrice Constance Purvis, daughter of Robert Raaff Purvis and Annie Silburn Marshall, on 16 October 1900.¹ He died on 26 March 1910 at age 50.¹
     He was awarded the El Aliyeh Order 2nd class.¹ He was Collector of Pemba, Zanzibar Government Service.¹ He fought in the Boer War in 1900.²

     Robert Raaff Purvis was born on 6 September 1823.² He was the son of William Purvis and Cornelia Louisa Intveldt.² He married Annie Silburn Marshall, daughter of Matthew Marshall, on 19 September 1853 at Padang, Sumatera Barat, Indonesia.² He died on 30 June 1891 at age 67.²

     Beatrice Constance Purvis was born on 7 July 1867.² She was the daughter of Robert Raaff Purvis and Annie Silburn Marshall.^3,2 She married Charles Archibald John Gunning, son of Major Charles George Gunning and Emma Cameron Logan, on 16 October 1900.¹ She died on 5 November 1947 at age 80.¹
     From 16 October 1900, her married name became Gunning.
