Alfred Thomas Shaughnessy and Sarah Polk Bradford, on 25 July 1932.¹ He and Elizabeth Sarah Polk Shaughnessy were divorced in 1946.¹ He married, secondly, Irene Lillian Cartwright, daughter of Henry Augustus George Cartwright, on 23 January 1946.¹ He died on 24 September 1976 at age 70.¹
