     Alice Violet Beddington was born in 1881 at Kensington, London, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Henry Edward Beddington and Floretta Marianna Cohen.1 She married Sir Robert Waley Cohen, son of Nathaniel Louis Cohen and Julia Matilda Waley, on 9 June 1904.2 She died on 24 January 1935 at Government Hospital, Jerusalem, IsraelG, as a result of a motor accident.1
     From 9 June 1904, her married name became Waley Cohen.1

     Matthew Henry Waley-Cohen was born on 14 August 1916.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Waley Cohen and Alice Violet Beddington.1 He married, firstly, Barbara Mabel Wenham, daughter of George H. Wenham, on 1 June 1943.2 He and Barbara Mabel Wenham were divorced in 1950.2 He married, secondly, Gwynedd Mary Davis-Scourfield on 9 October 1950.2 He died in April 1989 at age 72.1
