Robert Knight was born illegitimately on 3 March 1768.2,3 He is the son of Robert Knight, 1st and last Earl of Catherlough and Jane Davies.2 He was baptised on 9 April 1768 at St. James', Piccadilly, London, England.3 He married Hon. Frances Dormer, daughter of Charles Dormer, 8th Baron Dormer of Wyng and Elizabeth Hamilton, on 12 June 1791 at Dean Street, London, England.3 He died on 5 January 1855 at age 86 at Grosvenor Square, London, England.2

Frances Elizabeth Knight was baptised on 22 August 1793 at Ullenhall, Warwickshire, England.1 She is the daughter of Robert Knight and Hon. Frances Dormer.2,1 She married Lt.-Col. Henry Edward Gooch, son of Venerable John Gooch and Barbara Sneyd, on 23 January 1857.3 She died on 18 November 1874 at age 81 at Melbourne Hall, Derbyshire, England, without issue.1

Caroline Barbara Gooch was the daughter of Venerable John Gooch and Barbara Sneyd.2 She married Reverend Walter Davenport Bromley, son of Davies Davenport and Charlotte Sneyd, on 28 July 1818.1 She died on 8 May 1827.1
