     Ellen Dewar was the daughter of James Robert Dalton Dewar.² She married Lt.-Gen. Sir John Plumptre Carr Glyn, son of Reverend Carr John Glyn and Augusta Granville, on 11 September 1866.¹ She died on 20 April 1928.¹
     From 11 September 1866, her married name became Glyn.

     Nellie Georgiana Carr Glyn was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir John Plumptre Carr Glyn and Ellen Dewar.² She married Sir George Henry Sutherland of Cringletie on 11 June 1890.¹ She died on 18 April 1891.¹
     From 11 June 1890, her married name became Sutherland.

     Edward Greathed was born in 1777 at Uddens House, Wimbourne, Dorset, England.² He was the son of John Harris and Mary Greathed.² He married Mary Elizabeth Glyn, daughter of Sir Richard Carr Glyn, 1st Bt. and Mary Plumptre, on 14 August 1811 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.^1,2 He died on 1 December 1840 at Paris, France.¹
     He was given the name of Edward Harris at birth.² After 1803 his name was legally changed to Edward Greathed by Royal Licence, under the will of his uncle Edward Greathed.² He lived at Uddens House, Wimbourne, Dorset, England.²

     Colonel Thomas Glyn was born on 6 April 1756.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Glyn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Carr.² He married Henrietta Elizabeth Sackville Hollingberry, daughter of Venerable Thomas Hollingberry, on 6 September 1788.¹ He died on 24 August 1813 at age 57.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.¹

     Henrietta Elizabeth Sackville Hollingberry was the daughter of Venerable Thomas Hollingberry.¹ She married Colonel Thomas Glyn, son of Sir Richard Glyn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Carr, on 6 September 1788.¹ She died on 13 January 1845.¹
     From 6 September 1788, her married name became Glyn.
