     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Belinda Kapiolani Whitehead was born in 1929.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Pillans Scarth Whitehead and Marjorie Kapiolani Gibbons.² She married Archibald Peter Brown in 1956.¹
     Her married name became Brown.
