     Maj.-Gen. Sir Thomson Capper was the son of William Copeland Capper.2 He married Winifride Mary Gerard, daughter of Hon. Robert Joseph Gerard-Dicconson and Eleanor Sarah Bankes, on 15 October 1908.1 He died on 27 September 1915, from wounds received in action.1
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1 He fought in the First World War.1

Katherine Frances Gerard was born in 1856 at Gorewood, Lancashire, England.2 She was the daughter of Robert Tolver Gerard, 1st Baron Gerard of Bryn and Harriet Clifton.3 She married Sir Martin Le Marchant Hadsley Gosselin, son of Martin Hadsley Gosselin and Frances Orris Marshall, on 10 August 1880.1 She died on 19 April 1924.1
     From 10 August 1880, her married name became Gosselin.
