Robert Edward Monckton Elborne was born in 1926.1 He was the son of Sydney Lipscomb Elborne and Cavil Grace Mary Monckton.2 He married Leslie Vivienne Wood, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Ernest Wood, in 1953.1 He died on 22 January 2010.3
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Life Guards and Inns of Court Regiment (TA.)1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1950 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was a practising solicitor in 1958.1 He lived in 2003 at Seaton Old Rectory, Oakham, Leicestershire, EnglandG.1
