     Margaret Strachan is the daughter of unknown Strachan of Balgall.2 She married, firstly, John Burnett before 1750.1 She married, secondly, Sir Arthur Forbes of Craigievar, 4th Bt., son of Sir William Forbes of Craigievar, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Rose, in 1750.1
     From before 1750, her married name became Burnett.1 From 1750, her married name became Forbes.

     Duncan Forbes-Mitchell of Thainstone was born on 26 March 1757.1 He was the son of Sir Arthur Forbes of Craigievar, 4th Bt. and Margaret Strachan.2 He married Katherine Ann Fraser, daughter of William Fraser of Fraserfield and Rachel Kennedy, on 27 March 1777.1 He died on 6 October 1796 at age 39.1

     Katherine Ann Fraser was the daughter of William Fraser of Fraserfield and Rachel Kennedy.2 She married Duncan Forbes-Mitchell of Thainstone, son of Sir Arthur Forbes of Craigievar, 4th Bt. and Margaret Strachan, on 27 March 1777.1 She died on 27 December 1836.1
     From 27 March 1777, her married name became Forbes-Mitchell.
