Isita Clare Mansel was born on 8 April 1907.1 She was the daughter of Algernon Lascelles Mansel and Isita Rodger Wilson.2 She died on 27 July 1986 at age 79.1
She gained the rank of Group Officer in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force.1 She fought in the Second World War, where she was mentioned in despatches.2 She held the office of Member of the St. Pancras Borough Council between 1949 and 1965.1 She held the office of Member of the London County Council between 1955 and 1958.2 She held the office of Alderman of London between 1961 and 1965.1 She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1964.1 She held the office of Member of the Greater London Council in 1967.2
