Sir William Mansel, 9th Bt. was born on 1 March 1738/39.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Mansel, 8th Bt. and Rebecca Ware.2 He married Mary Philipps, daughter of John Philipps, on 26 August 1765.1 He died circa January 1804.1 He was buried on 14 January 1804.1
He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Mansel, of Muddlescombe, co. Carmarthen [E., 1622] in February 1749.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Carmarthenshire from 1781 to 1782.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carmarthenshire in 1784.1 He lived at Iscoed, WalesG.1 He lived at Woodstone, County Cork, IrelandG.1
