Rodney Elton, 2nd Baron Elton was born on 2 March 1930.1 He was the son of Godfrey Elton, 1st Baron Elton and Dedi Hartmann.3 He married, firstly, Anne Frances Tilney, daughter of Brigadier Robert Adolphus George Tilney, on 18 September 1958.1 He and Anne Frances Tilney were divorced in 1979.1 He married, secondly, Susan Richenda Gurney, daughter of Sir Hugh Gurney and Mariota Susan Carnegie, on 24 August 1979.1 He died on 19 August 2023 at age 93.2
