     Sir John Assheton Eardley-Wilmot, 5th Bt. was born on 2 January 1917.1 He was the son of Commander Frederick Neville Eardley-Wilmot and Dorothy Little.2 He married Diana Elizabeth Moore, daughter of Commander Aubrey Edward Duncombe Moore, on 23 June 1939.1 He died on 20 December 1995 at age 78 at Fulham, London, England.1,3
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1943.1 He gained the rank of Commander in 1950.1 He was commander of the H.M.S. Opossum between 1951 and 1953.1 He was appointed Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1957.1 He was with the Monopolies Commission between 1967 and 1982.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.) in 1970.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Eardley-Wilmot, of Berkswell Hall, co. Warwick [U.K., 1821] on 9 February 1970.1

     Diana Elizabeth Moore was the daughter of Commander Aubrey Edward Duncombe Moore.2 She married Sir John Assheton Eardley-Wilmot, 5th Bt., son of Commander Frederick Neville Eardley-Wilmot and Dorothy Little, on 23 June 1939.1 She died on 4 July 2006.3
     From 23 June 1939, her married name became Eardley-Wilmot. She lived in 2003 at 41 Margravine Gardens, London, EnglandG.1

     Lieutenant Andrew McMeekan was born circa 1942.2 He was the son of Thomas McMeekan.3 He married, firstly, Patricia Enid Eardley-Wilmot, daughter of Sir John Assheton Eardley-Wilmot, 5th Bt. and Diana Elizabeth Moore, on 30 July 1966.1 He and Patricia Enid Eardley-Wilmot were divorced.2 He married, secondly, Hon. Sarah Ann Vivien de la Poer Beresford, daughter of Arthur George Marcus Douglas de la Poer Beresford, 6th Baron Decies and Diana Mary Turner-Cain, in 1992.3 He died on 15 August 2010.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.1 He lived at Montgeard, France.2
