David Boswell, 4th of Balmuto was born in 1498.2 He was the son of Sir Alexander Boswell, 3rd of Balmuto and Elizabeth Ramsay.2 He married Elizabeth Moncreiffe, daughter of Sir John Moncreiffe, 9th of that Ilk and Beatrix Forman.3 He died on 8 May 1582.2
