Diana Mary Came Doll was the daughter of Captain Otto Sigismund Doll.2 She married Dougall Meston, 2nd Baron Meston, son of James Scorgie Meston, 1st Baron Meston and Jeanie McDonald, on 12 July 1947.1 She died on 28 December 2000.1
After her marriage, Diana Mary Came Doll was styled as Baroness Meston on 12 July 1947. From 12 July 1947, her married name became Meston.

James Meston, 3rd Baron Meston was born on 10 February 1950.1 He is the son of Dougall Meston, 2nd Baron Meston and Diana Mary Came Doll.2 He married Jean Rebecca Anne Carder, daughter of John Carder, on 20 April 1974.1
He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from St. Catharine's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He graduated from Leicester University, Leicester, Leicestershire, EnglandG, with a Master of Laws (LL.M.)1 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1973 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Meston, of Agra and Dunottar, co. Kincardine [U.K., 1919] on 2 January 1984.1 He was junior counsel Queen's Proctor between 1992 and 1996.1 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1996.1 He held the office of Recorder between 1997 and 1999.1 He held the office of Circuit Judge, West Circuit in 1999.1
