     Sir Edward Birkbeck Wakefield, 1st Bt. was born on 24 July 1903.¹ He is the son of Roger William Wakefield and Ethel Mary Knott.^2,3 He married Constance Lalage Perronet Thompson, daughter of Sir John Perronet Thompson and Ada Lucia Tyrrell, on 7 December 1929.⁴ He died on 14 January 1969 at age 65.⁴
     He lived at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.⁴ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1925 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)⁴ He was in the Indian Civil Service between 1927 and 1945.⁴ In 1936 Bronze Medal for saving life from drowning.⁴ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1941 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)⁴ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1945.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Derbyshire West between February 1950 and March 1962.⁴ He held the office of Comptroller of the Household between 1958 and 1959.⁴ He held the office of Vice-Chamberlain of the Household between 1959 and 1960.⁴ He held the office of Treasurer of the Household between 1960 and 1962.⁴ He held the office of U.K. Commissioner to Malta between 1962 and 1964.⁴ He was created 1st Baronet Wakefield, of Kendal, co. Westmorland [U.K.] on 1 March 1962.¹ He held the office of High Commissioner to Malta between 1964 and 1965.⁴

     Jocelyn Macartney Waller was the son of Sir Robert Waller, 1st Bt. and Catherine Moore.^1,2 He married Elizabeth Willis.³ He died in 1837.¹
     He lived at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.³

     Honora McCarthy is the daughter of Sir Owen McCarthy Reagh.¹ She married, firstly, Sir James FitzJames FitzGerald, son of James FitzJohn FitzGerald, 13th Earl of Desmond and Móre O'Carroll, before 1580.² She married, secondly, Edmond fitz Thomas, 14th Knight of Glin, son of Thomas fitz Thomas and Elinor Bourke, in 1586.¹
     From before 1580, her married name became FitzGerald.²

     Thomas FitzGerald, 15th Knight of Glin was the son of Edmond fitz Thomas, 14th Knight of Glin and Honora McCarthy.² He married Hon. Joan Butler, daughter of James Butler, 2nd/12th Baron Dunboyne.¹ He died in 1659.¹
     He went to Spain as a boy of 14 with Don Juan del Aquila.¹ He succeeded as the 15th Knight of Glin.¹ In 1613 he revived a chancery suit (begun by his father ) against Dean of Limerick for the advowsons of Kilfergus and Morgans (1625.)¹ On 18 December 1628 he obtained livery from the Crown.¹

     John FitzGerald, 16th Knight of Glin is the son of Edmond fitz Thomas, 14th Knight of Glin and Honora McCarthy.² He married Honora O'Connor, daughter of John O'Connor, The O'Connor Kerry.¹
     He gained the title of 16th Knight of Glin in 1659.¹

     Donel O'Dowd married Slany O'Brien, daughter of Sir Terlough O'Brien and Anabel Lynch.¹
     He lived at Ardnaglass, County Sligo, Ireland.¹
