     Thomas Eyre was baptised on 28 December 1774.¹ He was the son of Richard Eyre and Anchoretta Eyre.² He married Elizabeth Russell.¹ He died on 11 October 1819 at age 44 at Rio de la Hache, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 51st Foot.¹ He fought in the South American War of Independence.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the South American Forces.¹

     Elizabeth Russell married Thomas Eyre, son of Richard Eyre and Anchoretta Eyre.¹ She died in 1820.¹
     Her married name became Eyre.

     From 15 August 1866, her married name became Mahon.¹ From 1881, her married name became Eyre.¹

     John Ross lived at Inverness, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.¹

     Maria Euphemia Ross was the daughter of John Ross.² She married Colonel Thomas Eyre, son of Thomas Eyre and Elizabeth Russell, in 1845.¹ She died on 4 March 1853.¹
     From 1845, her married name became Eyre.
