Marcus Dill was born on 4 May 1784.1 He was the son of John Dill and Susan McClure.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Gordon, daughter of Robert Gordon, on 11 January 1820.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Lecky, daughter of Thomas Lecky, on 27 November 1827.1 He died on 22 February 1867 at age 82.1
