Charles Saunders Melville Dundas, 6th Viscount Melville of Melville was born on 27 June 1843.1 He was the son of Reverend Hon. Charles Dundas and Louisa Maria Boothby.1,2 He married, firstly, Grace Selina Marion Scully, daughter of William Scully, in August 1872.1 He married, secondly, Mary Hamilton, daughter of George Hamilton, on 9 February 1891.1 He married, thirdly, Margaret Todd, daughter of William James Todd, on 8 December 1920.1 He died on 21 September 1926 at age 83.1
He was educated at Rossall School, Fleetwood, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He was Consul to Santos, Brazil between 1869 and 1876.1 He was Consul to Tenerife between 1876 and 1882.1 He was awarded the Imperial Service Order (I.S.O.)1 He was Consul to Stettin between 1883 and 1885.1 He was Consul-General to Hamburg between 1885 and 1897.1 He was Consul-General to Christiania between 1897 and 1906.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Dunira, co.
