     Roger O'Conner was born on 8 March 1763.1 He was the son of Roger Conner and Anne Longfield.2 He married, firstly, Louisa Anna Strachan, daughter of Colonel unknown Strachan.1 He married, secondly, Wilhelmina Bowen, daughter of Nicholas Bowen, in 1788.1
     He was given the name of Roger Conner at birth.1 His name was legally changed to Roger O'Conner assumed surname in lieu of his patronymic for political reasons.1
