Margaret Alice Fairhurst was born on 26 September 1920 at Prestwich, Lancashire, England.1 She was the daughter of Charles Fairhurst and Elsie May Heselwood.2 She married William Henry John Chappell, son of John Hugh Chappell and Emily Helen McKenny Evans, on 19 August 1939 at Point Chevalier, Auckland, New Zealand.1 She died on 5 August 2003 at age 82 at Auckland, New Zealand.1
